I think it was this podcast (been in the car a lot lately!) that you talked briefly about how saddles can mess up men’s junk, but implied that women get off pretty lightly/are fine. I disagree, and recently came across at least part of an article that’s worth your time – https://cyclingdigest.wordpress.com/2016/01/07/touching-a-nerve/

    Otherwise, interesting as usual!

Good to see some mags are now interested in the piece (in the comments two editors have asked to see sight of it.)

One thing that I feel often goes unmentioned in helmet discussions is the different types of cycling in which person may engage. If I’m on a fast road ride, helmet. MTB in the forest? Helmet. Transportation cycling? I prefer a linen cap. Why do many helmet discussions assume ipso facto a discussion about transport cycling? It is my opinion that a serious impediment to the growth of cycling in the USA is that many Americans know cycling through a “road racing” (Lance Armstrong) lens, replete with epic crashes in French mountains. Thus, cycling is dangerous, and obviously requires a helmet; there is no distinction between road racing and transport cycling, and I don’t see cycle advocacy really working to separate the different disciplines. It’s almost as if cycling advocacy is trying to lump all cycling together, when different disciplines necessarily require different equipment. My $0.02…probably not even worth that.
    Keep up the amazing podcasts!

I was a little surprised that none of you commented during this last edition of the Spokesman podcast on the recent Joe Rogan podcast interview with Mr. Armstrong. Have any of you listened to it? I’d love to hear your thoughts. BTW, always look forward to each edition. Keep up the good work!

I, for one, haven’t listened and probably won’t listen.

@Chris I was wearing a helmet for my road ride this morning, I won’t be wearing one when I pop out on my cargobike later tonight. (a) Horses for courses. (b) Uniform.
