I thought the guest (Aaron) on this episode did a great job of stating his perspective in a clear, fact based way. Both Aaron and Carlton also explored the potential unintended consequence to the employees of the bike product companies that are likely to be affected as well with a thoughtful and empathetic eye.
There’s a good article that pushes this counter-point on the boycott a bit further with a broader look at the political contributions and impacts to state land funds:

All projected impacts aside – I would say that the main point I agree with Aaron on is that (boycott aside) transparency should always be there and that truth is always a good thing. This lets individual consumers decide for themselves.
At the very least, going forward; companies may start to look much closer at who is looking to acquire them.
