I was excited by getting a regular show with panelists, but then disappointed that almost the entire show got stuck on the issue of the dates and locations of bicycle-related trade shows. This issue has been discussed ad nauseum already on this podcast. The amount of time spent on the subject is also way beyond its relevance to most cyclists.
For David re: Apple Watch problem
I too have the problem of the watch not recording the mileage. I believe I have found the issue – I listen to music while riding using my Bluetooth hearing aids. When I do that that, the watch does not work but if I turn off the music it works. I believe the problem lies in the Bluetooth interface and potententially that only one device can be connected at a time. I have not called Apple about this but use my Garmin to record my mileage. Curious if this is also your issue.
Hi Steve
OK, noted, and sorry you felt that way. The dates thing is important to trade-types but maybe not everybody else. It’s probably not likely to be a subject for a while.
I agree with Steve, I really like the panel discussions. My favorite podcast of all time was with the Specialized engineer. That was maybe 4-5 years ago but it was memorable for (a) the nuts and bolts of design (b) the easy flow between panelists. Can you get Ayesha back on sometime. she was a breath of fresh air as well. I like the podcast and always listen but sometimes you guys get stuck on stuff, (don’t we all)?
Finally, can you do a cycling haiku competition with the winner getting a gift voucher from JensonUSA? Fall is haiku time FYI. Thank them for the sponsorship, they are my go to online retailer, about to buy a power meter from them.
cheers
We’d love to get Ayesha back on! We have revolving guests because not everybody is available every show.
Our resident Haiku expert is Richard Masoner, but he hasn’t been on for a while. It would be good to get him back on.
Great to hear you shop at Jenson. To Japan?
Hi guys – late to the party here, but what else is new? Love the feedback….thank you. Since we are all tradeshow “geeks” we weren’t thinking of the cyclist who isn’t in the industry. Sorry about that.
I’d love to get Ms Ayesha back on the show, too! More gals are always welcome!
Haiku?! Hey now….do you really want some of us muddling thru that? Ok, it may be highly entertaining….hmmm…..
Ride safe!
