It was a good show. Grahl sounded dark and mysterious with that cold of his. Maybe I need a cold?

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everybody.

Hey guys! I’m a regular, lurking listener at a pedicab shop here in NYC. Since I’d hate to waste the features, I’ve been listening on the iPhone more recently. Keep the enhanced podcast Dave — i’ll give feedback on FredCast.

You guys have a great format and work it very well. Whether you have tips that day or not, ya’ll know how not to bore us with dead air!

Having spent time over the road as a working messenger for about a year, and some time over the road working as a pedicab driver, I’m often asked about how we handle the rain. There’s plenty of ways to answer the question, but I’m always convinced that there is no rain gear that can keep a working cyclist dry for a long shift of continuous rain. Eventually, we all get wet.

I’m just wondering if Interbike had anything interesting to offer consumers for hard rain? We haven’t seen any significant snow here yet, so lets assume we’re talking about cold rain where lots of guys get wet from overlayering.

Keep up the great work! …for those of you who need to, keep warm!

Kate- Gore makes some incredibly good rain gear that will do a better job than almost anything else. It’s certainly worth checking out.

Thank you for listening. I hope you’ll keep coming back too.

Great show guys. I loved the best of and worst of 2007 section. Here are my best and worst of….

    Best:
Getting into fixed gear ridng. I love my Masi Fixed. It is so much fun and great training. It is amazingly fun to ride in the snow. Thanks Tim for such a sweet ride.

    Worst:
The whole Floyd Landis/Greg Lemond testimony and phone call was tragic. Let’s hope that something this crazy doesn’t happen ever again.

    Brian,

Great comments. How did I forget about the Lemond/Landis testimony? I must have blocked it out of my mind. That really was a low point for the year.

Here’s hoping 2008 is a much better year for cycling!

Brian, man you’re gonna make me cry here… thanks. Sincerely. I love my Fixed too, but it’s no secret that I’m a little partial to my own goods.

And yes, the Landis/ LeMond thing was icky. Icky to the bone.

Does the 2008 Tour de France have any value?

No doubt the French will support it as they normally do. But the outside world will have a jaundiced view.

There is much marketing to do.
